Hello RethymnoHello RethymnoNew and Old Books, a small shop on Souliou Street in the Old Town, is the go to for English language titles in Rethymno, stocking new and second hand books in many languages including fiction, books about Crete and travel guides. Selection of English books on Crete is limited and imported titles can be pricey, so it is worth asking the owner or pre ordering. Many expats also swap books at the free shelves in beach bars, cafes and hotels along the coast. For a much larger English range, the well known Mediterraneo bookstore is in Chania, outside the Rethymno district.
