EV charging in the Rethymno district is growing but still thinner than on the Greek mainland, so plan charges around the larger networks rather than assuming a charger in every village. The biggest operator is PPC blue (formerly DEI Blue), Greece's largest network, with AC and DC fast-charge points you locate and pay for through its app; other networks such as Blink also operate on Crete. Most public chargers cluster in and near Rethymno town and along the north coast (E75) corridor, with far fewer inland or on the south coast. Use the PPC blue, Blink or a roaming app like Electromaps to find live availability and to start a session, and carry a Type 2 cable for AC points.
