Fresh whole fish is sold by weight, so confirm the price per kilo before ordering and ask what came in that morning. In the harbour itself you will pay a premium and face some tourist pressure, so reserve in the evening for a seafront table.
Το ενετικό λιμάνι της παλιάς πόλης του Ρεθύμνου είναι γεμάτο ψαροταβέρνες όπου τρώτε δίπλα στις βάρκες και τον φάρο. Ο Ζέφυρος στην οδό Νεάρχου 41 είναι η ιστορική οικογενειακή επιλογή για τη φρέσκια ψαριά, ενώ στην ακτή το ψαροχώρι Πάνορμο και τα Περιβόλια φημίζονται για ψάρι της ίδιας μέρας.
